Sofie Metropolis is up to her eye teeth in bite marks when the neighborhood vampire hires her to prove he’s not the one killing woman and leaving them bloodless.
Well, as if that’s not just one great way to start a story. What’s better than murder and humor in a book that meshes culture and a love of another writer. Okay, maybe unfair, but I’ve said it before, Sofie Metropolis is the Jewish version of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum. Not to mention the office receptionist who is a feisty puerto Rican with a lot more mouth than stature.
This is a fast paced book with a lot of humor and hutzpah with characters you love and just a little sex, or hint of it. But seriously, two love interests and compiling bodies go a long way as Sofie, newly appointed private investigator looks for the real killer. There’s just a lot to like about these books.
