We were so poor, for drinking water we collected rain in an upturned umbrella, made dinnerware from mud dried under our only heat source, and supper consisted of Porky portions served with stone soup. Henny Penny’s renewable commodity earned her a reprieve as we enjoyed fresh eggs with the sun’s rise. Our blessings were counted.mud-play
